This is a sample policy written for the MontoEdu demo project, it illustrates what a real policy page would cover, but it isn't legal advice and shouldn't be relied on as a binding agreement.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using MontoEdu, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. What MontoEdu is

MontoEdu is a financial education tool: a glossary, short lessons, calculators, a plain-language translation tool, and practice investing with virtual cash. Nothing in MontoEdu is a real brokerage account, bank account, or line of credit.

3. Not financial advice

Calculators and comparisons show the math for numbers you enter. They don't recommend a specific card, loan, account, or investment, and nothing in MontoEdu should be treated as financial, legal, or tax advice. Make real financial decisions with a licensed professional.

4. The Investing Lab

The Investing Lab trades with virtual cash only. Prices, balances, and performance inside the lab have no connection to real money and can't be withdrawn, transferred, or redeemed.

5. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for the activity that happens under it. Let us know if you think your account has been accessed without permission.

6. Acceptable use

Use MontoEdu for its intended purpose, learning. Don't attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it at scale, or use it to impersonate someone else.

7. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continuing to use MontoEdu after a change means you accept the updated terms.
